Regulatory information

Registration numbers marked as placeholders must be replaced with the real details before this site goes live. Publishing incorrect regulator information is itself a compliance breach.

Who we are

Biswas Medical Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12345678 — placeholder), with its registered office at 142 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1JE. We operate four clinics and community pharmacies in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.

Pharmacy regulation

Our pharmacies are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Premises registration number 1122334 (placeholder). The superintendent pharmacist is A. Biswas, MPharm, GPhC registration 2011223 (placeholder). The responsible pharmacist on duty is displayed at each branch during opening hours.

Clinic regulation

Our clinics are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the regulated activity 'Treatment of disease, disorder or injury'. Provider ID 1-234567890 (placeholder). Inspection reports are published on the CQC website. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland the equivalent regulator applies where we operate.

Distance selling and online medicines

Where we supply medicines at a distance we display the MHRA distance-selling logo, which links to our entry on the MHRA register. Prescription-only medicines are supplied only against a valid prescription or after review by an independent prescriber on our clinical team.

Clinical governance

All clinicians hold current registration with the GMC, NMC or GPhC and work to standard operating procedures reviewed annually. We run monthly clinical audits, near-miss logging and significant event analysis, and every prescriber works within an agreed scope of practice.

Safeguarding

We have safeguarding policies for children and adults at risk. All patient-facing staff complete safeguarding training to the level appropriate to their role, and each branch has a named safeguarding lead.

Complaints

We aim to resolve concerns at the branch. If that is not possible, email complaints@biswasmedical.co.uk or write to the registered office. We acknowledge complaints within three working days and respond fully within twenty working days. If you remain dissatisfied you can contact the GPhC, the CQC, or the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.

Accessibility

This website aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Every branch has step-free access, a hearing loop and a private consultation room. Tell us if you need information in large print, easy read or another language and we will arrange it.
